Hayden Christensen Is the First Guest for MCM London Comic Con 2027
He still doesn't like sand. Good thing ExCeL has carpet.
Anakin Skywalker is heading to London next spring, because MCM Comic Con just announced that Hayden Christensen will be at MCM London in 2027, and he's the first guest named for the show (MCM Comic Con on X).
MCM London runs May 28 to 30, 2027, at ExCeL London (MCM).
When can you meet Hayden Christensen at MCM London?
He's doing autographs and photo ops on Friday, May 28, and Saturday, May 29. MCM hasn't said yet when those go on sale, only that the booking date is "coming soon."
If you really want a guaranteed spot, keep an eye on the VIP Legends tickets, since MCM says those buyers get first access when booking opens.
What is Hayden Christensen up to right now?
He's had a busy couple of years since returning to the franchise, and he's back as Anakin in Ahsoka season 2, which premieres on Disney+ on January 20, 2027 (The A.V. Club). We covered the season 2 cast here.
He's also been a regular on the convention circuit, where his panels tend to produce some memorable stories. At L.A. Comic Con, he told a crowd that a burglar once recognized him mid-robbery and gave his stuff back, which we covered here.
Why is 2027 a big year for Star Wars fans in London?
It's the 50th anniversary of the original movie, and London is getting a generous share of the celebrations. The Royal Albert Hall has a Star Wars weekend with the London Symphony Orchestra from April 29 to May 2, 2027, playing the original trilogy live to the films (LSO).
That means a UK fan could see the trilogy with a live orchestra and then meet Anakin at MCM a few weeks later.
The timing gets even better. Star Wars: Starfighter, the Ryan Gosling movie from director Shawn Levy, is scheduled to hit US theaters on May 28, 2027, which is the same day MCM London opens its doors (TechRadar). Lucasfilm hasn't confirmed a UK date yet, but the convention floor is going to be packed with Star Wars fans either way.
Is this a sign of more Star Wars guests at MCM?
My read is that MCM opened with its biggest swing on purpose. Leading with Christensen during the anniversary year sets an ambitious tone for the whole lineup, and it wouldn't be a shock to see more Star Wars names follow before May. (Somebody tell Ewan McGregor he has the high ground on booking.)
