GTA 6 Launch Trailer Drops a Month Before Release, Scored by Justice
Time for more frame-by-frames.

Rockstar released the official launch trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI on October 15. That's a little over a month before the game arrives on November 19 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. It runs about 90 seconds and follows Jason and Lucia after an easy score goes wrong. From there, a criminal conspiracy opens up underneath them. Everything unfolds across Leonida, the game's version of Florida with Vice City at its center. Rockstar says the footage was captured entirely on PS5, according to VGC.
GTA V came out in 2013, so a LOT of people buying GTA 6 next month have never played a brand-new mainline Grand Theft Auto at launch. I'd argue this trailer did exactly what a launch trailer should do. It sells the Jason and Lucia partnership and the look of Leonida without giving the story away.
The trailer also debuts "Flower in a Hurricane," a new Justice song featuring Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard. Justice composed the game's original score too. The track will be on Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album.

The standard edition of GTA 6 costs $79.99 and the Ultimate Edition costs $99.99, per Take-Two. Pre-loading opens November 12, and anyone who buys before November 20 gets the Vintage Vice City Pack. Digital pre-orders also come with a month of GTA+.
The detail getting the most side-eye is the "physical" edition, which is a download code in a box that goes on sale November 12. That's a tough sell for anyone with a shelf full of game cases (we see you, PS2 collectors).

When is GTA 6 coming to PC?
Not on day one. GamesBeat reports that the PC version is planned for the first quarter of 2027, citing four anonymous sources. Rockstar didn't respond to its request for comment (GamesBeat). My read is that a 2027 PC release fits the console-first pattern Rockstar used for GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2. Still, it's only a report until Rockstar officially confirms a date.
The leaks are the other story hanging over launch month. Around October 8, roughly 25 minutes of alleged development footage surfaced online. Three days later, a leaker going by Cyberleek threatened to release a full playable build if their memecoin hit a $30 million market cap. Their price for backing off was real physical discs and a public apology from Take-Two (GamesRadar). The coin never got close. On October 14, Cyberleek posted an "End of the road" message saying no build is coming, though it claims to be sitting on the ending (Kotaku).
Meanwhile, Rockstar's marketing team is busy taking over Miami. There's a Vice City blimp, branded beach chairs and real cars dressed up as in-game vehicles with Leonida plates cruising around town (Notebookcheck). (Subtlety was never really the GTA brand.)
